Pretty Giveaway

I'm going to launch this beautiful summer weekend with a giveaway.

Just because.

And with something really pretty too.

I found just the thing over at Fat Quarter Shop and they are very kindly letting me give one of these away to one of you ...

This oh-so-pretty "Twice the Charm" fabric roll of Robyn Pandolph's Love and Liberty collection includes 22 - 5 1/2" x 21" pieces ... plenty enough to make something fresh, summery and ... pretty!

If you'd like a chance to win, just leave me a comment telling me what your summer sewing project is.  If you don't have anything on the go you can mention either the last thing you finished or what is on the top of your crafting to-do list.  Comments close Tuesday July 16 and the winner will be announced Wednesday 17th.

Good luck and have a lovely weekend!

I have several quilts in progress but I seem to always start something new that I fall in love with and just can't wait. Right now my passion is the 30"s vintage fabrics and I am starting a new quilt for a guest bedroom we are redoing. I have 3 other tops done that need borders and I am off to the quilt store now (huge sale that I just can't miss). Love those fabrics and would love to make a quilt from them! Great giveaway!

Well, my current projects are inspired by YOUR blog! I'm working on small (1/2") hexagons, with the idea that I will soon purchase your "Flower Garden Wallet" pattern. I'm also working on 2" hexies which I will probably arrange sort of watercolor style, and make into a lap quilt. Thanks for the inspiration!

My summer sewing project?? * deep sigh * ......

Making my curtains longer (i never have that shop make me curtains again!!, they came out 25 cm too short...), making new curtains for the bedroom, pillows for the balcony chairs, hemming my dining tablecloth... (which is massiv!) And when that is done! maybe, and only maybe, piecing some hexies for a new cover for my tablet.... ;) lots of work.....

Gorgeous fabrics! My summer sewing project is to get caught up on my Craftsy BOM (only one month behind!) and finish another BOM I started in January. I got fed up with the blocks they had posted so have decided to create my own BOM. :) Only 3 months behind on it! :P

Thanks for the great give away, too!

I'm actually making great progress on THREE projects. By My Hand by Brenda Riddle is almost done. Barely keeping up with a Christmas BOM. Just started Little Lollies by Joanna Figueroa and nearly done with 12 plates. This is really, really good for me, but things will come to a screeching halt when our daughter and 3 precious grandsons arrive for a two week stay in August. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.

I'm currently brainstorming and designing a quilt for my son. In December he will start his 20th year in the USAF. Over the years he has had many many deployments/tdys. I am looking through photos and will send copies off to be professionally printed on fabric for some of the blocks. I plan to incorporate 50 stars for the approximate number of deployments. Six larger stars representing those to the Middle East. I'm open to any ideas from fellow quilters. I have been busy collecting military theme fabrics.
I would love to win these happy summery fabrics and have a cute quilt for just me.

I have a long to-do list for the summer. I'm working on a pixelated heart quilt for my niece right now. Next up are quilts for my nephew-to-be and his big sister, then a banner quilt to replace the one I made last week but gave away to a family member who loved it. Oh, and a table runner for my sister-in-law. Those should take me through the summer (possibly longer).

My fingers are twitching just looking at this gorgeous fabric. It's right up my alley.
