Pretty Giveaway

I'm going to launch this beautiful summer weekend with a giveaway.

Just because.

And with something really pretty too.

I found just the thing over at Fat Quarter Shop and they are very kindly letting me give one of these away to one of you ...

This oh-so-pretty "Twice the Charm" fabric roll of Robyn Pandolph's Love and Liberty collection includes 22 - 5 1/2" x 21" pieces ... plenty enough to make something fresh, summery and ... pretty!

If you'd like a chance to win, just leave me a comment telling me what your summer sewing project is.  If you don't have anything on the go you can mention either the last thing you finished or what is on the top of your crafting to-do list.  Comments close Tuesday July 16 and the winner will be announced Wednesday 17th.

Good luck and have a lovely weekend!

I love these soft pastels! I have 3 granddaughters that are small and while they are small I am busy making them summer dresses and outfits. I love making quilts but they are only little for a while so I am enjoying this stage of my sewing life.

I loved your July 15 post! My summer project too, is a hexagon quilt. It's in a very early stage and I haven't decided yet what the layout will be. After reading your post, I may do diamonds instead of flowers. I also love your fabrics - so pretty. Thanks for the giveaway!

Such beautiful fabric. Am making a brightly coloured patchwork quilt for my 8 year old's newly decorated bedroom. She can't wait! And nor can I!!!

What a pretty roll of fabric! My summer project is to decide how to hand quilt my hexy quilt and, if I ever decide and the weather ever cools down, to start quilting! Other than that I'm embroidering some Summersville squares and finishing off a '12 days of Christmas' red work garland. As well as some machine piecing for a nine patch/snowball quilt and piecing two new hand pieced projects (one of which I had no intention of starting but couldn't resist!).

I've been working on a few portable projects; hand appliques, crocheting some African flowers ... they are spread everywhere ; in the car, my purse, the kids backpack... after all is summer vacation and I may get a little restless! ; )

I have never had interest in hand piecing, but a recent surgery has me in the recliner for a while, so I thought I would give it a try..... and I LOVE IT. At first I was just passing the time away, but I am so hooked on the hexies now that I have to order more fabric...... Thanks for all your terrific ideas and inspiration!!!

Love that fabric!! My goal is to get all of these many quilt tops quilted! I love making quilt tops, but lose interest with the quilting.

I have several projects going on: I decided to make a mini quilt each month - right now I'm quilting one, binding one, getting one ready to quilt and piecing one - I'm a little behind on these; then I'm working on the Primitive Gathering Block of the Week - on week 3; I just finished all the BOMs for the Fat Quarter Shop 2012 Mystery and have finished the first block for the 2013 Mystery. Finally, I'm working on some small stitcheries Red Brolly has on her blog site. Reading this I realize I have the attention span of a 5 year old...and may have insulted some 5 year olds! :0)

I'm making my second quilt, for my sister who will be 17 this august.
Thank you for the give away! I love the fabric!!

My current project is a white on white patchwork quilt (an assortment of white fabrics with white designs on them). Its on hold for a little bit while I move though and I try my hand at painting furniture and making a slip cover! I also just finished a quilt ... just a solid colour patchwork quilt designed to look like a video game character (megaman) as a birthday gift for a little boy. :) Love your blog!
July 15, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterRachel
Loved your post today - Oh, my, love those hexies! Your colors are bee-you-tee-full! This summer it's all about getting out every single piece of fabric and organizing it so I can SEE it. Sadly, I'm an out-of-sight, out-of-mind type - so, I have created my own Library of fabric using the comic book boards to wrap the fabric. It looks like pretty books on a shelf! The actual quilting projects are Christmas snack mats - yes for this year. It's never happened before - it's not even Christmas eve!
XO, Lucy

This fabric is so beautiful. I have hesitated to enter, there are so many comments. But I have to say that I am going to be a great grandmother in October!! And it's a girl. I am making her quilt this summer along with some some bibs, baby shoes and anything else I can think of. I would love to make something for the new little mama with this fabric if I win. Thank you for the opportunity.

My summer project is a 4th of July quilt. I have the material but have not started it. If I get it done this summer I will have it for next 4th of July.

Trying to quilt the many ( kept track up to 30 then stopped counting) quilt tops I have ready to quilt. So far since June I've quilted and bound 3 baby quilts, a 1600 strip quilt which ended up growing to twin size with borders and a scrappy X and 0's quilt which hubby mentioned he liked. Now quilting a floral patchwork pieced quilt. Hooray summer holidays and days too hot or mosquitoey to be outside.

I am determined to finish a little Ruby quilt I've been working on for months. It's all pinned and I've almost finished quilting it but its just not going well. Before I quilted the top was all straight and lovely, now it's a little out of shape and bunchy and not sitting flat, so I have put it aside. I soooo love the quilt but I know I've messed up the quilting so I know what I have to do or I know I will never be happy with it - I need to unpick it all, retape and pin and start again. Otherwise every time I look at it I will be reminded that its just not right. So that's what I'll be doing for the rest of Summer, our Winter!
