Pretty Giveaway

I'm going to launch this beautiful summer weekend with a giveaway.

Just because.

And with something really pretty too.

I found just the thing over at Fat Quarter Shop and they are very kindly letting me give one of these away to one of you ...

This oh-so-pretty "Twice the Charm" fabric roll of Robyn Pandolph's Love and Liberty collection includes 22 - 5 1/2" x 21" pieces ... plenty enough to make something fresh, summery and ... pretty!

If you'd like a chance to win, just leave me a comment telling me what your summer sewing project is.  If you don't have anything on the go you can mention either the last thing you finished or what is on the top of your crafting to-do list.  Comments close Tuesday July 16 and the winner will be announced Wednesday 17th.

Good luck and have a lovely weekend!

Summer summer ummmmer.......If its not the rain and biting flies, its still the mosquitoes and the woodticks! I sure need a break to make something lovely. This fall I am going to be a first time Grandmother. I am sewing up a storm of double receiving blankets, single ones and burp clothes. I have a pin wheel quilt started but I still have a log cabin quilt and a NFL Colts quilt to make for the baby (foot ball quilt is to make one I made his dad for Christmas last year. Oh and I still have to make the baby his curtains for the baby room (yes, we are having a boy!) People think I am going over the top but isn't that what a Gran do? After this is all finished I will begin a John Deere Tractor quilt for my new boy.......oh to be a grandmother. So having letting you know what I am up to, I would love the giveaway to start a hexie quilt in those colours....Have a lovely day

Happy summer, I am working on my first baby quilt. It's for my new grandson arriving at anytime now. Don't worry the house my be going a little slow, it's only trying to be all and only the way you want it, so you will love it. That may sound a little strange, but I try to find some good in all things. If we stop and look hard enough, we will find another blessing we can count.

I'm currently quilting a large quilt for my bed, using Paris Flea Market, but I also have a sampler quilt on the go for the summer, using up my scraps. I'm hoping to use the quilt as you go method to quilt it, thus saving my arms, the ache of quilting the whole thing together, free motion. We'll see how that goes. I have to mention, that I love your blog. I absolutely adore your taste in fabric, particularly the stuff above, it's so pretty. Xxx

Right now I am finishing up my 'Bridget Loves Bernie Holiday Quilt'. Pretty light and navy blues with silver metalics and the blocks end up looking a little like ornaments. Next up is a trial run of your wallet and if I can successfully create one, I think I will go into production mode for Christmas presents. A busy summer.

I am going to work on a one color quilt for my daughter-in-laws niece. Her favorite color is pink and so I plan to cut 5 or 6 inch squares from the pinks in my stash and set them on point for a simple quilt. Hope it goes fast because I would like to have it done before she starts kindergarten in the fall.
