sew deerly giveaway

Well hello!  How is your week going so far?  Are you ready for Christmas?  I'm not.  But then again I never am.  And yet Christmas still comes anyway and things always work out. :)

I've been doing a little pre-xmas shopping for myself ...

These pretties came in the mail yesterday.  When I emailed my friend Kerri at Sew Deerly Loved to tell her the fabric had arrived and how much I love it, she offered to do a giveaway for you, my dear readers!  I'm very excited for one of you to win this bundle of sweet Japanese fabrics. :)

Japanese, ATSUKO MATSUYAMA, 30's Collection, Fat Quarter Bundle of 14

To enter this fabulous giveaway to win 14 FQs of Atsuko Matsuyama's latest fabrics, simply leave me a comment saying what Christmas sewing (if any) you are doing, already did or plan to do (no one will know if you don't get to it!).

Comments close Sunday Dec 22nd and I'll announce the winner on Tuesday Dec 24th.

Oh, and one more thing ... everything over at Sew Deerly Loved is 20% off right now so if you're looking for a gift for someone (like maybe yourself, possibly?) check out her shop.  I never leave empty-handed!

Planning to start a quilt for my son for Christmas. He joined the Army a few months ago and has been posted to a city just over 2000 lms away from us, so I thought I would make him something to remind him of us each day and of how much we love him. He's coming home for Christmas in two days so I am very excited. And of course it means I better get sewing! What's a little more pressure on myself at Christmas!!

Gorgeous fabric, the deer and cherries are so adorable. I was lazy and only made some frilly Christmas towels. They are in the mail and I hope everyone likes them. Thanks to Kerri for the great giveaway and Merry Christmas to all.

I have been doing a lot of Christmas sewing:-)
I'm working on a quilt for my husband which will be the first quilt I have ever made that will be just for him! It's super manly which is also a first for me.
I have already made two makeup pouches for my 2 sweet sisters. I have one more gift I would like to still make but I'm not going to stress myself out so if I get to it then great and if I don't then that's fine too.
Thanks for the chance at your giveaway!!! FINGERS CROSSED:-)

I've been sewing up a fall quilt. Don't you love that? A fall quilt that still isn't done in the winter. Aahhhh. No really, I think I'll have it done soon :).
I've made potholders and piles of "coasters" (I think they are too small to be called mug rugs or perhaps I'm dating myself). I've also made a christmas quilt for my brother and his wife, and stockings for my daughter and her boyfriend. And I just finished putting the binding on a tree skirt for my daughter as well! I can't wait until Christmas!

I just finished sewing potholders for my sister. I used NanaCompany's tutorial, which was great, and I am very pleased with the results. There's lots of other sewing happening around here, but not specifically for Christmas, so the pressure is reduced. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.

I have 3 flannel quilts completed for my kids and their spouses. They will keep them warm at their camps this winter in the north Maine woods. I have 7 table runners done and 8 pillowcases done for my grandkids.
Next up will be to kit up tree decorations for anyone to make when they all gather at this Nanny's house on Sunday.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
BTW I love your blog.

I am in the middle of a quilt for my queen sized bed. It is not a Christmas quilt and it will not be finished by Christmas. The only Christmas project I have going on is a cross stitch nativity scene and it is going very slowly. Maybe I can finish it for Christmas 2014. I love Sew Deerly Loved and I adore Atsuko Matsuyama's fabric. Thanks for the Giveaway!
