sew deerly giveaway

Well hello!  How is your week going so far?  Are you ready for Christmas?  I'm not.  But then again I never am.  And yet Christmas still comes anyway and things always work out. :)

I've been doing a little pre-xmas shopping for myself ...

These pretties came in the mail yesterday.  When I emailed my friend Kerri at Sew Deerly Loved to tell her the fabric had arrived and how much I love it, she offered to do a giveaway for you, my dear readers!  I'm very excited for one of you to win this bundle of sweet Japanese fabrics. :)

Japanese, ATSUKO MATSUYAMA, 30's Collection, Fat Quarter Bundle of 14

To enter this fabulous giveaway to win 14 FQs of Atsuko Matsuyama's latest fabrics, simply leave me a comment saying what Christmas sewing (if any) you are doing, already did or plan to do (no one will know if you don't get to it!).

Comments close Sunday Dec 22nd and I'll announce the winner on Tuesday Dec 24th.

Oh, and one more thing ... everything over at Sew Deerly Loved is 20% off right now so if you're looking for a gift for someone (like maybe yourself, possibly?) check out her shop.  I never leave empty-handed!

Beautiful fabrics.

Well lets see I have several Christmas "WIP" projects in the works, the felt ornaments that were ordered in September are closest to being finished of them all, and the table topper, and lets see the potholders, maybe next Christmas. My eyes twinkled and they were delivered but now it's my turn to finsh up the work.

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to you and your family and all your readers!!!!

Every year I am frantically trying to get quilted gifts finished, but this year I didn't quite get any started.Life just works that way sometimes. As a mother of 3 'crafty' daughters, I may be called upon to help complete some last minute projects. These fabrics are gorgeous and I would love to win them to start something just for me.

I feel like such a slug after reading all these comments. Wow! I need to refer to them for inspiration throughout this coming year. I managed to cross stitch one ornament this year, and need one each for my three kids. Instead I'm busy hand quilting (with perle cotton--LOVE) a quilt and planning out my 2014 goals.

Every time I see those sweet little prints I want to drop what I am doing and order some. Then the guilt sets in that I should use up what I already own. Currently I have no time for piecing at the machine, therefore I am enjoying my hand quilting on a queen size whitework. This will be the year I finish! After Christmas I will return to piecing.

Finished my small bit of Christmas stitching last weekend - I stitched three little felt stockings to hold gift cards for my brother, his wife and my niece. Felt is so much fun to work with and so quickly finished, especially when you're accustomed to making large quilts! Merry Christmas and thank you for the chance to win those wonderful fabrics!

These are the sweetest fabrics! Kerri is so very generous. I haven't had much time for sewing this year except for making bunting and garlands as gifts. This fabric would make a sweet bunting:)

What pretty fabric! I've made a wall hanging for my mam (http://flic.kr/p/ikSUEK), a quilt for a friend's new (ish!) baby and a bedding set for my niece - she's getting a pram for Christmas from her grandma (my mam) and I've made a mattress and cover, pillow and case, blanket and quilt for it. It's very cute, if I do say so myself! I hope your Christmas preparations are finished before midnight on Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas!
