Dear Thy Beloveide ...

No, this isn't an impromptu lesson in Ye Olde English. My daughters were playing "Wedding" with their stuffed animals the other day.

Here's the script they wrote out.

This kind of stuff has got to be (one of) my all time favorite things about being a mom.

They crack me UP!

Happy & safe Labour Day long weekend.

I love it!

This morning my 3 year old informed us that pastor's don't eat (I mentioned that Daddy was having lunch today with Pastor). It was all I could do not to just sit down laughing. :)

Thanks for sharing!

I love the "manly man" part - classic! That teddy bear is one sharp looking bear!

This is the very best 'Kids Say the Darnest Thing' I've heard in a long time..
I agree lovely ladies do need manly men!

Manly man?! That is so awesome! I should have used that in my wedding vows LOL!! I remember my son calling girl things "girly" and boy things "boyly" which I still laugh about, and even use. Kids are the best.

Reminds me of my childhood! My dad was a pastor, and my sisters and I would play church on the front steps of the parsonage. We would start with the opening prayer, sing hymns at the proper spots, and recite the complete liturgy from our Sunday morning Lutheran church service! We would hold baptisms, resulting in our dolls with hair becoming bald in short order! Oh what fun we had. Oh, yes, we often held weddings, but I don't think we used the lovely lady and manly man part! What precious memories from your sweet daughters!

lol: 'dear thy belovedie'= dearly beloved...i love that! ;0

Have the girls been to a wedding recently or was this just impromptu? I hope the teddy bear has a pre-nup.....mixed marriages(teddies+rabbits) have a history of not standing the test of time....just sayin' ;0

ohhhhh Kristyne....soooo precious. I miss those days a lot. Nothing like being a mom to children--a wonderful gift for sure. Had a good laugh about the "manly man". Have a great weekend!

When my son was little, an old lady asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up ....... he looked at her as if she was really stupid, and said 'and adult'!!

I surely hope you have a keepsake box where you can stash these treasures to enjoy when they are grown...perhaps at their weddings. This made me bring to mind the fun my sister and I created as little girls in the 50's. She passed 17 years ago and I miss her so...but I still cherish my memories. Thank you so much for sharing.
