coin purse ... a bucket list item done!

I've seen these metal purse clasps around forever.  And I've always wanted to try them.  I even bought one a few years ago.  Every once in a while, I'll come across it in a drawer, take it out, look at it, look on Pinterest (again) to see all the really pretty coin purses out there ... and then put it back in the drawer.

Again.

But some lovely little clasps from Zakka Workshop - along with patterns and assembly instructions - arrived in my mailbox the other day. :)

Can't even tell you how much fun this was.  And now I can check another thing off my bucket list.

PS:  The clasps are sold out at the moment, but check back often because they are getting more in soon!

They are adorable. I have made several sew-in coin purses using Liberty Tana Lawn pieces which I treasure. I also noticed recently that Nordstrom's has begun to carry Liberty coin purses much like these and the ones I make along with a line of other Liberty items. Your coin purses are really sweet.

Your purse is soooo cute! I have been doing the same exact thing, but the clasp I have sitting in a drawer is a sewing one and I'm not sure I will like it as well. I might have to get one that looks more like yours :) I think I might have the same fabríc you used, only in a yellow and purple color way! It is a favorite of mine. If I can finally get a coin purse made, I'll send you a picture to prove you really inspired me to get it done!
