little joys quilt along - finish!

Well?  What do you think?  I have a little wall space in the upstairs hallway (not here, the lighting isn't camera friendly in the hallway) that is begging for something to be hung on it.  This festive wallhanging might just end up there now until Christmas!

I used a 2" cut sashing and applied a very rusty free-motion quilting top-stitch.  Not perfect, but not bad either.  And I found the "Scrumptious" diagonal stripe in my stash that I couldn't NOT use for the binding.

Thank you Elea and Fat Quarter Shop for making such a fun project with the cutest Christmas fabric!

This is delightful! A kinder, gentler Christmas decoration. FMQ doesn't look rusty to me *but* since you mention it, (and recall I am the fan who is reading you blog day by date since its inception and am premorning the US Thanksgiving holiday as that's when I'll have completed everything) - that said, I have so valued your stepping out of your comfort zone in front of us, including explaining when and why you try *what*, your devotion to the cross hatching initially and, perhaps best of all, your display of the early practice pieces when trying a new design.

It's very easy to think that you blogger/designers were born on the pedestal I/we 'confident beginners' put you on- but seeing the outcome and being let in on your thoughts helps leaps and bounds with my own willingness to live large in my hobby.

This is so cute!!!!! And I love that you quilted it yourself! I remember your tutorials to us when you were quilting your way through Camille's book! I still haven't tried to step out of my comfort zone and just DO IT! One of these days though! Love that you have something ready for Christmas in July!

This is wonderful. I love it. I want one and I have the perfect spot to hang this beautiful quilt. Where do I get the whole pattern. Love the fabrics so different.

So lovely! I'm not big for seasonal decor, but this is soft and gentle. I love the binding, too. And I'm always surprised how well a little bit of red goes with pastels.

Oh, I love this! I love that you included the pink in there - red and green can sometimes be a bit ho-hum for Christmas, but this just has a bit of pizzazz thanks to the pink! ;)
