a pinterest tutorial & a simply sweet giveaway

Pinterest.

I'm trying to remember life without it.

I can't.

Can you?

I found this Chinese pouch tutorial the other day ... I could not get to my sewing machine fast enough to start making it.

Here's how mine turned out.

Daughter #1 called dibbs on it already.  Guess I need to make another one.  Or two.  Or ... you know ... maybe about infinity more.

Wanna know where I got the pretty pink floral?  From this, adorable Etsy shop Simply Sweet Fabric.  Such a fantastic selection of tiny florals and pretty prints over there.

Floral Prints Fat Quarter Bundle of 8, Cosmo, Japanese

If you'd like chance to win this delicious bundle of 8 fat quarters leave me a comment stating which print/color above is your favourite.  Giveaway closes on Sunday, January 26th and I'll announce the winner shortly after.  (Promise I'll remember this time!)

Everything you do turns out so beautifully! I am blown away every time. I love the light blue stripe with the pink flowers. You and Amy at Nana Co. have really got me on the pink kick! My kids think I've lost it!
Thank you for continuing to inspire!

Ha! Get out! I was actually looking at your pin for this bag last night, when I couldn't sleep! I have been slow to actually pin, till the last few months, because I find it so astonishing to see so much cool stuff in one place :) In this Cosmo bundle I love the Nave Floral Stripe the best. It looks very much like some fabric I made into pillowcases 15 years ago, when I was awaiting my daughter's arrival. They are faded but still in good form!

I'm torn between the red polka dot strip with pink roses, or the pink polka dot strip with pink roses. Love your little pouch, and it looks so sweet in the pink fabric. Your sewing is always so beautiful.

Your pouch is so cute, and I think you have the best fabric stash ever -- so sweet! Thanks for so frequently letting us know where you get your fabric. I am still drooling over Holly Jolly from Spoonflower!

I love all the prints and colors in the bundle, but I am happy to see so many mini prints with navy lately, so I'll vote for either of the navy options.

My favorite fabric is the pink flowers on white background, so feminine. Thanks for sharing and offering the give-away.
