Mini-Series Monday #4
I had to make this week's mini-quilt (or rather "quiltlet") in fabrics OTHER than the original 'cause I didn't have enough leftover charm squares and I didn't want to cut into my big FQ bundle of Scarborough Fair by Robyn Pandolph. (You know you wouldn't do it either ... !)
So I scrounged around in my stash and found a little stack of leftovers from Moda's Sandy Gervais' "Whispers in the Wind" line (from a few years back).
This block is 2" square unfinished.
You know, I like purple well enough ...
'Cept for here. LOVE it here!
This quiltlet (12-1/4" square) was too small for me to comfortably copy the same FMQing as on the big one.
So I ... you know ...
And if this quilt doesn't make you think of Easter, you are dead inside.
Just sayin'.
Tune in next time for "Spot On".
Rumor has it there's a double feature next week ... wink wink, nudge, nudge!

This little quiltet is just so sweet and the first thing I thought of was Easter! You have an awful lot of patience, friend, those blocks are tiny!
I am enjoying your "little" quilt show.
This weeks is adorable. Thanks!
I'm always thinking of Easter, my absolute favourite time of year!!
How 'undead' am I ??

They are so cute. I love pastel colors and purple is one of my favorites.
You know, I'll have to make a Coming home quilt for the mother of my brother's girlfriend as a birthday present. I'll use a 'Aster Manor' charm pack. But I love your little quiltlet and parhaps I'll made a little one for her, too. Thanks for the idea!

It's a sweet quilt that just oozes Easter!
So incredibly cute!
These little quiltlets are the most adorable things ever! And those 2 fat quarter bundles sitting so delicious in the first photo made me just want to reach right through my computer screen and steal them....those are too too pretty! Can't wait to see what is up next, keep up the great work!

You're totally right...I would definitely NOT have cut into that big FQ bundle of Scarborough Fair by Robyn Pandolph! I had my first official moment of fabric cutting agony yesterday when I decided to cut into my FQ bundle of Simple Abundance. I sat their for several minutes before I could make the first cut! I actually thought of you! "What Would Kristyne Do"? :)
Little Quiltlet is PERFECT for Easter! And I can hardly wait for next week's reveal. My heart skipped a beat at that little dotted teaser block!
Hee! I was thinking Easter for sure! So cute! I love stalking your blog on Monday mornings and Tuesday mornings... and, well... all through the week! ;O) Love it! Have a great week! :O) Bari Jo

Your mini quilts are so adorable. The quilting on this one really makes the pattern pop. Love it, love it, love it!
Fabulous!! I love the colours - especially the purple. I have been having a major clearout and reorganisation in my studio ..... next I have to tackle the scrap basket - and your miniature quilts are giving me lots of ideas!!
i LOVE that you sewed through Camille's book and now you are doing minis. (swoon!!!) that is soooooooo adorable. (and genius!) your work is amazing and i'm sitting here wishing that I would have thought up something half as great as this. ;)
I love your little quilt. The pastels are so pretty and the purple border is perfect.
