another purple pouch ...

What is it with teenage girls liking purple these days?  Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining.  I like purple.  I'm just feeling a little sheepish that this is the second purple pouch in a month I'm offering you here.  I'd think you would appreciate a little variety.

Hope you don't mind.

I certainly don't mind getting to use my favourite Gingher scissors as a photo prop ;)

Polkadot fabrics are by Lecien.  Linen is Essex by Robert Kaufman.

PS:  Honey label available here!

It's perfect! Don't know what it is with purple and teenagers but I'm sure our mums thought the same about us in your teens;-)

It should read 'our teens'. I think each time has it's own color. I remember in the 90's were a lot of black don't know if my parents found that so amusing;-)

When I was 12 (maybe 13), my friends and I all went through our 'purple' phase!

This is darling- love the colors and the lines created by the way it is sewn together. I'm the silly lady who has been reading your blog every day since last November and I was hoping I'd have the chance to thank you so much for accompanying me this last year. Every day (and seriously I've missed less than 5 this whole year) it has been a joy to go through posts from the last 5 years and study your technique as well as learn so many things about fabric and pattern designers. I look forward to upcoming posts as I always do, and I know I won't be ables to resist dipping back into the past to revisit your wonderful feasts for the eye. Happy Making!!! Your fan for life, Celia form California

As always, I love everything you create! I would love to know where you got the sweet honey tag.
What are your current favorite sources for sew-on tags?

I love absolutely everything you make. Such classic sophisticated style. I too am wondering where I can purchase the sweet honey label.

I was wondering if there was a pattern to purchase for this cute purple pouch? Thanks for the source of the "honey" label.

I don't mind it at all...such pretty shades. So pretty.

I'm 62 now and still love every shade of purple....and have since the 60's, when *I* was a teen. I have refused to give in to most of my purple impulses through the year, but it's not always easy!

Purple is my absolute favorite color in just about any shade! Whoever you bestowed this gift upon is one lucky young lady. Love the Gingher scissors too! I have several different ones with the decorative handles but not in purple. Wish I'd found a pair like yours whenever they were out. I'll have to go looking for a pair now...

Hi the pouch is lovely, is it a pattern from your book?
November 18, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterLin
I've seen hundreds of pouches but never one with the zip done like this - it's a lovely way to do it. I shall now be trying to work out how it's done! Beautifully made too, and I really like the labels you use.
