Auction 19 - Pink Dogwood Needlebook

Ok.  This is one of a few item that if I don't list it now I'm in danger of changing my mind because I really REALLY meant to keep it for myself.  It took me three tries to get the cover right.  And I love all the fussy cutting.  But again, I haven't used it.

I am just learning some embroidery stitching now. I have always loved Kristynes beautiful work and she has been my inspiration to learn : ) My granddaughter( Isla, 6 but soon to be 7) is learning with me. We often sit together and with the light of our favorite lamp we stitch our sewing projects together. She loves to make yo-yo's and one of her favorite things to do is pick out pieces of fabric from a little basket of fabric scraps I save for her. So this little needle book with the lovely little fussy cut lamp and basket really hit a soft spot in my heart : )

And Tammy, you and your granddaughter will always be friends in my heart, too. I never had children, so subsequently, I have no grandchildren. I "make" all my friends who have grandchildren, especially girls, share them with me so I have some one to knit and sew for. Knowing this needle case is going to a granddaughter fills my eyes with tears for so many reasons. And your very poignant comment touches me like you'll never know.
