Red Toile

"If your name is Jillien and you are my sister, stop reading.  Kay?"

*     *     *     *     *

Not my usual offering here, I know ... all this red.  And it's not even Christmas or Valentines.

Or strawberries. ;)

But I happen to know someone who adores red toile.

"Sister, if you're still reading this, no you are NOT the someone I just mentioned and no this is NOT for you.  This is NOT your late birthday present that I promised you a few months ago ... even though this red toile fabric looks EXACTLY like the one I asked if you liked when you were here visiting ... just sayin'."

So if it isn't for your sister then it must be for one of your toile-loving readers, right?! I've been wanting to make a quilt with toile, ticking, English roses and tartan for quite ahwile. I'm sure that that not-your-sister will love this.

As if I wasn't LOVING this post already...then I had to go and read Greg's comment, and I am REALLY LOVING this!..."a quilt with toile, ticking, English roses and tartan". Oh, yes! :)
Awe your poor sister is now going to be wondering who you're giving the fabric she picked to! :(

My name is Hildy, I'm not your sister and I've kept reading. And I'm very glad you'll not making this for your sister because that means you're making this for me, right? RIGHT!?!

Adorable and Pretty! Thanks for the giggles. Someone, not your sister, is going to be very happy.
Such beautiful fabric and I bet you've got a gorgeous plan for it too. I'm kinda wishing my name was Jillien right now! ;)

One of the things I really love about your blog Kristyne, is that you start off with gorgeous fabrics, some lovely thread...and then you make it into something glorious! I wish I had your gift, because I have lots of gorgeous fabric too, but until I bought your book with lots of great ideas in it, I didnt know what to DO with it!
Thanks for your continued inspiration!!! And as mentioned by everyone else above...if your not-for-your-sister mystery is not for your sister (!!!) then a Reader giveaway or ten would be great!!!! Best wishes..Barb.
