sew deerly giveaway

Well hello!  How is your week going so far?  Are you ready for Christmas?  I'm not.  But then again I never am.  And yet Christmas still comes anyway and things always work out. :)

I've been doing a little pre-xmas shopping for myself ...

These pretties came in the mail yesterday.  When I emailed my friend Kerri at Sew Deerly Loved to tell her the fabric had arrived and how much I love it, she offered to do a giveaway for you, my dear readers!  I'm very excited for one of you to win this bundle of sweet Japanese fabrics. :)

Japanese, ATSUKO MATSUYAMA, 30's Collection, Fat Quarter Bundle of 14

To enter this fabulous giveaway to win 14 FQs of Atsuko Matsuyama's latest fabrics, simply leave me a comment saying what Christmas sewing (if any) you are doing, already did or plan to do (no one will know if you don't get to it!).

Comments close Sunday Dec 22nd and I'll announce the winner on Tuesday Dec 24th.

Oh, and one more thing ... everything over at Sew Deerly Loved is 20% off right now so if you're looking for a gift for someone (like maybe yourself, possibly?) check out her shop.  I never leave empty-handed!

Your work, your photographs are always so beautiful! Such inspiration! Only two tiny projects at my studio this Christmas. Wonderful Moda striped flannel made into neck warmers filled with rice and lavender for two special friends. So nice to warm in the microwave -- feels cozy in the cold wintertime! Almost done (they're a fast and easy project!).

I am working on a Princess theme laptop bag for my kid's cousin. She is 17 and her mother has been battling cancer (thank God she is now in remission) and recently had gallbladder surgery, so we are trying to make this girls Christmas extra special. My daughter (15) is helping all along the way. Also I am planning on making her mother a special Christmas bag too.

I'm not sewing any presents for Christmas. But I'm hoping for a big present of some time over the holidays, so that that can sew. That would be awesome.
Thanks for sharing all your Christmas prep -- the cute houses and trees, and the amazing gift tags. And thanks for all the great photos and inspiration and commentary -- and humour -- through the year. Love your blog!

I just made my first Christmas stockings and mailed to my out-of-state grandkids (a 7-year-old boy & his almost 1-year-old sister)...traditional Christmas colors in a patterned flannel with a striped flannel cuff for him and pink satin with a pure white ruffle for the her. I slid 2 silver bells on the ends of ribbons and sewed to the cuff of each stocking.

Hi there. This is my first post on a blog ever! So I hope it goes well. I'm 24, from Australia and loveeeeee your blog; I check it every day. (No I'm not a stalker lol)

This Xmas I've made 2 wreaths with foam, twine and baubles. A wall hanging, dresses and bloomers for nieces and nephews, started some fabric baubles and also a redwork stitchery that I purchased in Las Vegas last time I was in the USA. Oh I wish I could stay at home all day and sew and stitch, damn work gets in the way.

Have a wonderful Xmas and I'm looking forward to seeing what beautiful things you make in the new year.

So, I know when I'm comment number 447 that there is little chance that I'll be the random number picked, but what they hey! Gotta be in it to win it! Tonight I'm going to try and make a luggage tag to go on my two year old's bag for Christmas. She loves triceratops at the moment - so going to try and appliqué one… I know. Crazy. The things you do for love.

This Christmas season I made a applique tool travel tote for my guild gift exchange. Then I'm finishing up Kathy Schwarts little monthly quilts for December and January. Make a special Christmas stocking for my daughters special beau, and finishing up a little quilt for my grandson to be. Also plan on starting him a S is for Stitch quilt. I love this season for sewing! The fabric line you're sharing is wonderful!
