more stitch-a-long fun

Have you heard of the Temecula Quilt Company.  They are a fantastic quilt shop in sunny California.  Even way up here in Canada they're famous.  I have a lot of quilting friends who make a point of going to Temecula, just so they can go shopping there.

But they also have a terrific online service, if California isn't in your travel plans.

Well, it turns out they're starting up a weekly stitch-a-long with my book! They'll be posting their progress every Saturday on their blog.

Not only that, but you can order a starter kit from them (with or without the book, if you already have a copy).  The kit even comes with an adorable custom ruler box to hold all your floss and notions.  I'm going to order one I already ordered a few of those for myself. :)

They're taking orders now and will start stitching at the end of this month.  Hop over to their website for more details. It's gonna be a lot of fun!

I grew up in SoCal and did the big quilt run that they had every year until I moved to Utah. I used to love going to Temecula Quilt Co. I am not usually a big fan of civil war era quilts but every time I walked in there I would get inspired by all the gorgeous fabrics and ideas they have. Thank you for letting us know about this. I have been wanting to get one of your books to go with a starter embroidery kit I got for each of my girls for Christmas. This might be a great addition!

Had to grab one. I have the book so maybe this will inspire me to stitch more this winter. I have to admit, the ruler box sold me on this. So cool!!

This is a sweet store! We live in New Mexico but my oldest lived there when he first moved to California. He would send me fun things from that shop and I have that box and love it! They have a smaller one, too, that is just as cute! Perfect combo - your book with their box - fits floss perfectly! :O)

Hi Kristyne, loved the post about this company - and had to go and have a look....and of course HAD to order the kit (minus the book which I already have)- that ruler box is so cool!!
I have a question though - in your post 26th September, you showed a picture of the same quilt in the book, with half squares in it - I have started the quilting blocks from your book and would love to put it together with that pattern. Can you please give me dimensions/measurements for the surrounding half squares and filler blocks? I am trying to do the week by week you mentioned at your earlier post - will also try and do this new one WITH my new ruler box!
I love how you keep showing us wonderful and new things - remember those glorious mother of pearl like scissors...oh, I fell in love with them instantly! Found them online (Sajou) and feel we now have 'matching' scissors!!! You always inspire me - thank you!!
