Bursting

You guys.

I've been on the verge of happy tears for the past 4 days because of all the comments you left me saying how much you really like my latest design and how much you would love to make one too.

I don't know how to say this.  I love blogging.  It motivates me to do my very best when I make something.  And then I get to show you what I make.  And you get to tell me what you think.  And lucky me you are always so complimentary and appreciative and just make me feel so happy.

Yes I like to show you my things because who doesn't enjoy a little external validation now and then?  But I also like to show you what is possible in my little world.  And I LOVE inspiring people to dream about making pretty things, to want to make pretty things and/or to actually make pretty things.

Creativity is an amazing thing.  Somehow I've always known that being creative - especially with needles and thread - makes me happy and keeps me sane.

So.

I have a something new to show you.  Something I've been working on for a very long time.  And I'm practically bursting at the seams.  (The Queen of Punny strikes again!)

But I must wait for one more day to show you my new something.

See you tomorrow.

I look forward to reading your blog every day. When it's not there I feel so disappointed. Your work is lovely. I hope to be as good as you when I am an all grown up quilter. I am still in the baby stages of quilting.

I'm with Kate. I hope it's a pattern book! My feeble attempt at a pencil case is no comparison to yours!

August 21, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterLori

Well you need to tell me ahead of time because I am busy tomorrow having my first great granddaughter! Really! Isn't that a good enough excuse?

August 21, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMarge

Please let it be a book. Please, please please (and let it be downloadable as waiting for the reveal is hard enough without waiting for a publishing date).

August 21, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterMandy Dunne

I am on pins and needles waiting - hee, hee I did a punny too :-) I'll be back tomorrow!

August 21, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterKristin

Greetings from England.
I have just come across your blog in the last week or so and have been franticly reading it at every opportunity.
I always loved autumn colours for quilts and have made many quilts in those colours, along with some really bright scrappy quilts.... now having been going through your blog I've gone through my stash for all my pale coloured fabric (I love lilac and mint greens) and have started stitching them already.
I love your blog, you've had me in stitches (!!) especially with the quote about being armed with an unguarded rotary cutter... brilliant - can't wait for the next installments.
