I Did a Small Thing ...

and I did it with great love ...
love for making things,
for pretty fabric,
for sewing, (I really should hand quilt these blank corners ... but I know I never will ... )
quilting, (this is the back, another print from the same fabric collection I used for the dresdan plate)
embroidery, (omg do I ever love that hit of orange ... seriously ... who woulda thunk ... certainly not me!)
for my sweet friend Amy and ... and for YOU of course! Every single one of you who takes time to say hello, whether you comment or not ... 'cause I know you're there.
I hope you're inspired to make something too.

Here is a cyber hug right back at ya!!! I am so grateful for YOU and Amy too. When life gets overwhelming ( and we all know it does at times), I can go to my cyber girlfriends and pause and refresh. I SEW have to make this project. And you don't have to write back ever....I feel the love right in your posting!!!!

It's beautiful and I do so enjoy watching your progress. I always feel guilty about not always replying too, although I'm still trying to keep it up it's becoming difficult. Anyway, I know exactly what you mean and I'm sure you love each comment even if you don't get to reply!

I love, love, love, your wall hanging. You did such a beautiful job. You always do! This piece is a labor of love. In the corners quilt a simple heart. You above all people can do this. Then your beautiful project is perfectly finished. You did a wonderful job of hand quilting.

Love it! The hand quilting gives it that perfect vintage look. I thought of you this weekend - I was in Nashville surrounded by mockingbirds, and it made me think of your funny owl story.

You have totally inspired me to make this lovely little wall hanging...even though I have a lot of work to do to perfect my embroidery {goal for this summer!} and have absolutely no idea where i would put said wall hanging...but that doesn't matter...I love it!! Thanks for sharing!

Your posts make my day, and today's Dresden Plate pretty is no exception, in fact sooo inspirational. I am off th Hong Kong for two weeks to visit my son and will be feeling bereft but will enjoy a day of catch up when I get back. Am taking embroidery with me as a quilt will be too bulky in my luggage and too hot to quilt there as its monsoon weather. Cheerios friend because that's how I feel you are.

So pretty! I took the close up picture of the center and made it my desktop background. I get to stare at it all day now and think about making my own soon!
