quilted bags & gifts ~ a giveaway

I'm really happy about this news.  Akemi Shibata's book is finally available in English and I happen to have a spare copy to give away.  Zakkaworkshop kindly asked me to help as one of the English editors and I'm really proud to have been involved in bringing this lovely book to the English-speaking part of the world.  It has so many beautiful and fun projects.  I've already made two (including the coolest bag I've ever made ;) and I plan to make more cute things.

It is a toss up between Spring and Fall. Love this time of year getting to play in the dirt with planting flowers and working in my shade garden!! Love the color with the variety of plants that are available.

Fall--one can never have enough pumpkins. Such a wide variety to decorate with. So excited that my son is dating a young lady that has a pumpkin patch and is allowing me to plant pumpkins and sunflowers with her!!

Although I am a winter baby, I love summer. Gardening keeps me busy for 6 months outdoors all summer long but I also plan my cool month sewing projects in that time. In fact, after a long dry spell, I recently made several microwave bowls, It felt so good to get back to my machine.
